The
Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has announced new vacancies for
Pakistani candidates. These openings are titled "Chief Internal Auditor
Jobs 2023 at Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO)." HESCO gives power
to 13 regions in Southern Sindh, including Hyderabad, Thatta, Mirpurkhas,
Nawabshah, Matiari, Jamshoro, Badin, Sanghar, Umerkot, Sujawal, Tando Muhammad
Khan, Tando Allah Yar, and Tharparkar.
Hyderabad
Electric Supply Company (HESCO) is a power distribution company fully owned by
Government of Pakistan with a workforce of more
than
10000 employees. It is providing electricity to more than one million consumers
of 13 districts of Southern Sindh (except Karachi). HESCO
is
an equal opportunity employer which is seeking suitable candidates (or the
position of Chief Internal Auditor. The prospective candidates
are
expected to be dynamic, having proven track-record of integrity, internal audit
functions and should be a leader with a vision to deliver in the
challenging
work environment, meeting the following criteria.
JOB PROFILE I
Being
head of Internal Audit function of HESCO, he shall be accountable to the Board
Audit Committee and shall have unrestricted access to the record.
To
evaluate Accounting. Finance, Credit and other operational activities as an
independent appraisal function.
To
ensure effective management of Financial Resources of the Company.
To
review and appraise the soundness, adequacy and application of accounting,
financial and operational controls.
To
formulate Internal Audit programs in such a way that all aspects of financial
transactions are audited.
To
prepare reports containing observations, comments and recommendations based on
carried out works.
To
develop an effective team of competent subordinates capable of understanding
and discharging their obligations.
To
undertake special investigation on the directives of Board Audit Committee /
Board of Directors.
To
have liaison with the External and Commercial auditors of the company.
Must
have excellent interpersonal communications, time management and professional
skills.
Should
have strong business acumen and judgment, in-depth understanding of internal
audit functions that meet lIA standards and experience
of
interaction with senior management and the Board.
QUALIFICATIONS
Member
ot a recognized body 01 professional accountants; OR
Certified
Internal Auditor; OR
Certified
Fraud Examiner: OR
Certified
Internal Control Auditor; OR
Person
holding a Masters Degree In Finance from a university recognized tile Higher
Education Commission.
The
candidate must comply with fit and proper criteria as prescribed in public
sector companies (Corporate Governance Rules. 2013).
EXPERIENCE
Candidate must have maximum 05 years of
relevant post qualification experience at mid to senior level audit positions
in Government / Semi
Govt: Organization / Corporations f
Autonomous Bodies or large commercial organizations or large public limited
companies of repute.
The employment shall be on Contract for an
¡initial period of three (03) years with annual performance evaluation to be
carried out by the Board
of Directors HESCO through Board Audit
Committee.
